We stayed here three nights while visiting friends in the area. This is an older facility, but staff and lobby area were very nice, rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast area was well tended and replenished. I expect we'll stay here again in future.
Stayed in a nice double room. Clean. Good staff service. Breakfast could be better, but as an overnight guest, it was good.
The breakfast was breathtaking. The scrambled eggs were quality. I loved the waffles and sausage as well. The beds and housekeeping were awesome and the staff was amazing as well. I loved staying here and I recommend it to anyone coming to visit the area for any reason.
We stay here while visiting nearby family, and it always meets our needs - it's like coming home! The rooms are clean, the staff welcoming and flexible, and the room prices are very good value. The rooms on the 3rd level get hotter in the summer months and in the past we've had to have the A/C on there most of the night, so better to take a room on the first level - but maybe away from the ice and coke machines (clunk clunk...). Also go for the odd-numbered rooms - away from the direct sun and the front car park. There isn't a better place in Roanoke, and it's near enough to the many restaurants and bars to walk it - so no worries about a DUI.
The staff is cool but the hotel facilities are so old. You feel like in a 80s movie in the Hotel lift. Rooms are okay but the showers are so stressful you cannot have a good water pressure and it's always too hot or too cold. I wouldn't recommend unless you have no other option nearby.
