Stayed here back at the end of March 2017 for a week. It was nice and everyone that worked there was very pleasant. The breakfast choices they supplied were good. I didn't have but saw people using the waffle making system, which I thought was a cool idea. I didn't use the pool (weather too cool) but it looked clean and well-maintained. The room was very nice, clean and I liked that there was a little kitchenette area with a cupboard, mini-fridge, microwave & coffee maker. My only complaint comes from the tornado warning that we had in the early morning on the last day we were there. Being from the Northeast, I have absolutely NO experience with this weather phenomenon. Our phone alert went off at 2am ("... imminent danger - seek immediate shelter" - EEEK!!) and I wasn't sure what to do so I called the front desk and the young man working calmly told me to come down to the lobby because the tornado sirens had gone off (honestly didn't hear them in our room), which we did and it all ended up being just a Category "0" (high winds) but when I went down to the lobby, I noticed the young man was busy calling all the rooms - this is where my only complaint lies: I think more should be done so all rooms are alerted right away - maybe a central alarm, like the fire alarm could be triggered...? I guess if you live in Texas, you're used to this kind of weather but I was terrified! Thank God it worked out like it did but I can't help but wonder - what if it had been a bad storm - would everyone have been alerted in time?
Had a great stay here on the final night of a ten-day road trip. We travel with my 87yo MIL, so comfort and convenience are key. The hot tub was out of service (I think it wasn't hearing properly, but the Jets still worked fine), but the pool area was beautiful. We had three adults and two tweens in a first floor suite. We especially appreciate the extra outlets available. The breakfast was great. I wish there were a freezer in the in-room fridge, because I like to freeze my water bottles before a ten hour drive the next day. Overall, quite nice.
My husband and I have been a "member" with Choice Hotels since 2004. We have always been satisfied until our stay at this hotel. We were attending our great nephew's high school graduation. We had enough points to comp the room. Once we received our credit card statement we were charged $25 for a pillow that we supposedly took from the room. We called the manager (I think his name was Karl) and he informed us he would not remove the charge. We tried to explain we did not take the pillow. First of all he was very rude! He told us "his employee had been with the company for 10 years" and I said we have been a "member" for 12 years and we have enough pillows and do not make a habit of "stealing ". We have made several trips to the area to visit family, but we will NEVER make reservations at Comfort Suites in Roanoke, TX.
Good, not great. It's a little dated. Rooms are fine. Bed is hard like another guest mentioned. Staff was nice. Can't rent movies which I thought was funny. Typical hotel breakfast. Hot tub was good Not alot of hotels in the area so if you need something nearby it's priced fairly and not too bad.
This will serve the purpose of staying. If you are going to be alone in the hotel for whole day, there is nothing much to do. Very quiet place
