How often would you take a car to a mechanic and trust them enough to say "fix whatever needs fixing"? That's what we did with new-to-us cars for my son and daughter, and I was very happy with what they recommended to fix. It was appropriate and cost effective, and below what I had expected.
They always help me out. There are a few occassions I could get something done cheaper but the difference is worth it because Gary and Scottie are fantastic.
Gierisch has always been very good with our cars, and often have advised that work that other places have recommended is unnecessary. I once took my car in for a leaking washer fluid container (est at $250 by one place) and walked out from Gierisch with a $12 fee for a replaced hose.
